Privacy Policy

The short version

The airway quiz is an educational screening tool, not a medical test and not a diagnosis. It gives you a score at the end and emails it to you. Your answers, your score and your result are never saved. They are worked out while you are on the page, put into your own result email, and then gone.

What we do keep is your name and email, so we can send you that result and a short series of general educational emails. You can unsubscribe from any of them at any time.

We do use advertising and analytics tools on this site, and we do use data for advertising, measurement and retargeting. What those tools never receive is anything you type: no name, no email, no phone number, no answers, no score and no result. That is set out in detail below.

Who this covers

This site provides educational screening tools and information pages for participating dental practices, and links out to each practice’s own scheduling page. Each practice is responsible for the care it provides and for its own patient records. The site itself is operated on their behalf by Sidekick Digital.

This policy explains what happens to information you enter on this site. It does not replace the privacy notice of the practice you are contacting, which covers the records they hold about your child.

The quiz is educational, not clinical

The airway quiz exists to help you decide whether a conversation with a dentist is worth having. It is not a diagnosis, not a medical opinion, and not a substitute for an examination. A score does not mean your child has a condition, and a low score does not mean they do not.

Because of that, the quiz is deliberately built so that no health information about your child is ever stored here:

• Your answers are used once, in the moment, to work out a score. They are never written to our database.
• The score, the result tier and the breakdown go into the result email addressed to you, and nowhere else.
• The practice is not told your score. No notification about a quiz submission is sent to them at all.
• We no longer ask for your child’s age or date of birth, and we never ask for their name.
• The phone number on the form is checked for length so we can tell you if it looks wrong, and is then discarded. It is not saved and not sent anywhere.

What we collect, and what happens to it

It differs by form, and in every case it is the minimum needed to answer you.

• Airway screening quiz: we keep your first name, last name and email address. That is the entire list. They are used to send your result and a short series of general educational emails about children’s airway health, the same emails for everyone regardless of score.
• Webinar registration: we keep your first name and email address, to send the webinar link and a short series of general educational emails on the same topic. Your phone number is passed to the practice in a notification email so they can follow up, but it is not stored on this site. There are no health questions on this form at all.
• Booking an appointment: this does not happen on this site. The “book a consultation” buttons take you to the practice’s own scheduling page, on their system, under their privacy notice. Nothing you enter there passes through this site, so we never see your child’s name, date of birth or insurance details.

Advertising, analytics and retargeting

We want to be direct about this rather than bury it. This site uses Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, Google Ads and the Meta (Facebook) pixel. We use them to measure which advertisements and pages bring people here, and to show advertising to people who have visited, including retargeting. Those platforms may set their own cookies and may recognise your browser on other sites they operate or serve advertising on. That is how they work, and we are not going to claim otherwise.

What they do not get is anything you typed:

• On the quiz, no advertising or analytics script loads at all while you are answering questions. The tags are held back until you finish, so no third party ever observes the questionnaire itself.
• When a submission is recorded, the only information sent to those platforms is which form it was, which location it belongs to, and the page slug. No name, email, phone number, answer, score or result tier is included, ever.
• We do not upload contact lists to advertising platforms, and we do not use your email address to build or match an advertising audience.
• Nothing about your child’s health, or your quiz result, is shared with any advertising or analytics platform.

Who we share it with

• The dental practice you are contacting, when you register for a webinar, so their team can follow up. For the quiz, nothing is sent to them.
• Our email delivery provider, which sends our emails to you on our behalf.
• The advertising and analytics platforms named above, and only the non-identifying submission details described in that section.
• Nobody else. We do not sell your information, and we do not rent or trade it.

Information about children

These forms are written for a parent or guardian to complete. They are not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information submitted by a child.

We do not ask for your child’s name, age or date of birth anywhere on this site. The name and email we keep are the adult’s, and we treat that adult as the person entitled to the information and to any request about it.

How long we keep it

For the quiz and the webinar registration, we keep your name and email for as long as the follow-up emails run, or until you unsubscribe, whichever comes first. Quiz answers, scores and result tiers are never saved even briefly, so there is nothing to delete.

Appointments are booked on the practice’s own scheduling page, not here, so this site holds nothing about them. Anything the practice holds, including your child’s chart and appointment, is kept by them under their own retention rules. Requests about those records should go to the practice.

Measurement data held by Google and Meta is kept under their own retention settings and policies, not ours.

Security

Information is sent over an encrypted connection. Access to the administrative side of the platform is restricted to authorised staff and protected by a second factor, actions taken there are logged, and credentials for connected systems are stored encrypted.

Your choices

• You can unsubscribe from any email we send using the link in that email. That stops the follow-up series and removes your name and email.
• You can ask us what information we hold about you and we will tell you. For the quiz, the answer is your name and email and nothing more.
• You can limit advertising tracking through your browser settings, your device’s advertising controls, and the ad-settings pages of Google and Meta.
• You can ask the practice for a copy of, or a correction to, the records they hold about your child.

Changes to this policy

If what we collect, keep or share changes, this page changes with it, and the date below is updated. Material changes will be described here rather than made quietly.
